Ceylin Alvarado

Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado is a Dutch cyclist who competes in cyclo-cross for the Belgian team Alpecin-Fenix. She was born in The Dominican Republic, whose flag and geographical location in the Caribbean Sea inspired us to create this unique women’s cycle wear collection “CCA”.
CARIBBEAN CYCLO-CROSS QUEEN
Ceylin’s European adventure began at the age of five when her family emigrated to The Netherlands. She left a tropical climate filled with sun and azure seas to live in a temperate zone on the Atlantic coast. This happened to be a place where the people loved cyclo-cross and Ceylin took to this cross-country form of bicycle racing immediately. In 2017, she entered into her first professional contract with the Belgian team Beobank-Corendon, where she could observe first-hand the remarkable cycling skills of Mathieu van der Poel.
Although cyclo-cross is challenging, it did not wipe the smile off the young Dominican’s face, and she set her sights on the queen’s throne at a young age, with a desire to become World Champion by the time she was 21. As a result of the extremely successful season in 2019, in which she collected several U23 awards, she became the front-runner of the cyclo-cross world championships in Dübendorf, Switzerland. Her longed-for dream became true. After narrowly winning in a sprint, Ceylin could proudly wear the rainbow jersey of the world champion.

Inspired by Caribbean style and the radiant nature of the Dominican people, we introduce the CCA collection. Characterised by energetic design, the combination of blue and red tones on a white background gives a light, fresh and summer impression for this elegant, sporty collection.
Proven Material
The jersey is made from our proven Spinn fabric, which is characterised by its excellent wicking properties and breathability. Below the back of the neck of the jersey is the signature of this world-renowned cyclo-cross champion.
Sleeves
The sleeves end in a breathable elastic fabric, to ensure they adhere to the arm with perfect fit. The design is inspired by the flag of The Dominican Republic.
Jersey Sides
The colourful side panels of the jersey are made from a breathable material, providing great ventilation when riding in warm weather.
Bib shorts
The shorts are made from our time-proven Lycra Power material, which is characterised by high wear resistance and breathability. The leg ends are finished with a gripper which is stitched with a flatlock seam to provide maximum comfort. The end of the right leg symbolises the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea, in which Ceylin’s birthplace can be found.
