Kalas x Renshaw

First Australian Stockist

AUSSIE LEGEND MARK RENSHAW PARTNERS WITH KALAS AUSTRALIA AS PEDAL PROJECT BECOMES KALAS’ FIRST AUSTRALIAN STOCKIST

Kalas has partnered with retired Aussie pro cycling legend Mark Renshaw. The deal sees Renshaw become a Kalas brand ambassador with his Pedal Project store in Bathurst, NSW becoming the first retail stockist of the Kalas brand in Australia.

“As soon as I got the call from my old Highroad racing teammate František Rabon, who is now working for Kalas in Europe, I was immediately interested in the partnership. Frankie and I raced together in some of the biggest teams in the world and we’ve worn many different clothing brands. The Kalas kit is as good as anything I’ve raced in and as soon as I got my hands on their latest samples, I wanted my Pedal Project store to become the first stockist in Australia”.

“This is a proud moment for Kalas Australia. We opened our office in Brisbane a year ago and have grown the business organically since then. Mark is the perfect partner to help us at this moment and we are delighted to have such a respected former pro by our side. We have ambitious growth plans and Mark will help us expand the business nationally. Kalas specialise in providing custom design kits for clubs, teams, companies, charities and events, so we are especially pleased to be soon launching the 3 different Pedal Project shop design kits designed by Mark and his wife Kristina”.

Kalas Australia is based in Brisbane, part of the family-owned global business headquartered within their own factory in Europe. There, all garments are made “under one roof” using the finest Italian and Swiss fabrics. For over 25 years the company has specialised in the manufacture of top-quality custom designed cycle wear. Kalas are the official sportswear supplier to Mathieu van der Poel’s Alpecin-Fenix team, the Six Day Series and the Great Britain Cycling Team.

Mark Renshaw is renowned as being the best leadout man in the business as well as an accomplished sprinter in his own right. From early success on the track in NSW, Mark represented his country many times as an Olympian and at World Championships. He began his transition to the European road scene as a stagiaire with FDJeux in 2003 before moving to Credit Agricole and then HTC-Highroad where he forged his legendary reputation as the man who piloted Mark Cavendish to so many of his famous victories. Now retired from racing, Renshaw, together with his wife Kristina and three children, have returned to their roots in Bathurst where they now own and operate the Renshaw’s Pedal Project store as a family business.
