Kalas has custom cycling clothing for everyone, but not everyone has earned the right to wear a world champion’s jersey. Dutch amateur rider Martha Maltha was allowed to do that as UCI Gran Fondo world champion. Kalas helped her with the design, but more importantly, with clothes that fit her 1 meter 86 (6 foot 1 inch) frame.

Two businessmen from the Moravian village of Sazovice, who have swapped their loose football jerseys for tight cycling jerseys, soccer cleats for trainers and included shaving their legs in their sporting rituals.

Through sun, rain, wind and mud Matt Beers and his Toyota-Specialized-NinetyOne partner Christopher Blevins won the prestigious Cape Epic mountain bike race. In 2022, Czech bank ČSOB organised their tenth ride to the summit of Ještěd, a mountain located approximately 80 km north of Prague. As in previous years, participants reached the impressive figure of 240, made up of eager employees and customers. However, it was not just a simple hike to the unique transmitter station in the southwest of Liberec. The difficult climb itself is preceded either by a journey on road bikes or on gravel or mountain bikes.

By 1993 Čestmír Kalaš and Petra Filipová had agreed on a new way forward with Assos Founder Toni Maier, which meant they would start to search for their own customers. As it turned out, embarking upon their own journey within the complex world of custom cycle clothing production would not be so easy.

Kalaš expanded his production in Veselí nad Lužnicí (a town not far from Tábor) in the former Lidové družstvo Blata (People's Cooperative Blata), which manufactured knitted products for the army and police. It was a reliable cooperation from which both parties mutually benefited.

With a completely new and unexpected business plan in mind, Kalaš returned to Tábor [in Autumn 1990], where he immediately started making the necessary steps to set up his own production for custom cycle wear. He sought out the largest clothing company in Tábor, where he hired his first seamstresses and began to absorb the basic sewing procedures.
